Chris Brady Named to USMNT Roster for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper Chris Brady has been named to the United States Men's National Team's 26-player roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, U.S. Soccer and the club announced on May 26.

Brady is one of three goalkeepers on Mauricio Pochettino's final roster and will wear No. 25. He becomes the first Chicago Fire Homegrown Player and Academy graduate to be named to a FIFA World Cup roster, and just the fifth player named to a World Cup roster as an active player of the Fire — joining Jorge Campos (1998), Josh Wolff and DaMarcus Beasley (2002), and Xherdan Shaqiri (2022).

The Naperville native has been Chicago's starting goalkeeper since 2023. Through 14 matches in 2026, Brady has posted a career-high 74.2 save percentage, and he enters the tournament with 106 MLS starts across four full seasons with the Fire. He previously won the Golden Glove at the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship.

The USMNT will play Senegal on May 31 in Charlotte and Germany on June 6 in Chicago before opening Group D play against Paraguay on June 12 in Los Angeles.

Congratulations to Chris and his family on a moment that reflects years of work. Mag Mile Sport is proud to represent him.

Carlos Herrera Posts League-Leading 5th Clean Sheet in Detroit City Draw at Loudoun

Detroit City FC goalkeeper Carlos Herrera recorded his fifth clean sheet of the 2026 USL Championship season Saturday night, anchoring a 0-0 result at Loudoun United FC in Leesburg, Virginia. The shutout moves Herrera to the top of the league in clean sheets.

Herrera was central to the road point. He backstopped the shutout with a 10-recovery performance and a key save as Loudoun pushed late, behind a back line of Tommy Silva, Callum Montgomery, captain Devon Amoo-Mensah, and Haruki Yamazaki that limited Loudoun to just five shots and 0.40 expected goals on their home pitch.

The result extends the defensive run that has defined Detroit City's start to the 2026 campaign under head coach Danny Dichio. Herrera has been the constant — a settled No. 1 behind a back four the staff has trusted match after match.

Saturday's shutout is the kind that travels well: earned on the road, against a physical opponent, in a match that featured 34 total fouls and required composure through the final whistle.

Mag Mile Sport congratulates Carlos Herrera on another stellar performance.

Tatiana Fung and Lexington SC Advance to Gainbridge Super League Final

Tatiana "Tati" Fung and Lexington SC are 90 minutes from a league title.

Lexington dispatched Dallas Trinity FC 2-0 at Lexington SC Stadium on Saturday, May 23, booking their place in the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League Final. Fung entered in the 66th minute, replacing Darya Rajaee, as Lexington saw out a semifinal it controlled from kickoff.

Catherine Barry — this season's Golden Boot winner — opened the scoring. Goalkeeper Kat Asman, the Gainbridge Golden Glove recipient, kept another clean sheet behind a back line that finished the regular season as the league's stingiest.

Lexington enters Saturday's final as the 2025/26 regular season champions and Players' Shield holders, having lost just three matches across 28. They will host Carolina Ascent FC at Lexington SC Stadium on Saturday, May 30 at 7 p.m. ET, with the match streaming on Peacock.

This is Fung's first season with Lexington after her rookie campaign at Fort Lauderdale United FC. A title would cap a remarkable arc for a side that finished its inaugural year as Wooden Spoon holders.

Mag Mile Sport will be watching Saturday.

Chris Brady Earns Back-to-Back MLS Team of the Matchday Selections

Mag Mile Sport client Chris Brady has been named to MLS Team of the Matchday for the second consecutive matchweek, recognizing his clean sheet performance in Saturday's 2-0 road win over CF Montreal. It is Brady's fourth Team of the Matchday selection of the 2026 season.

The Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper anchored a road shutout against a Montreal side that dictated possession (56%) and generated 15 shots, including seven on target. The clean sheet was Brady's sixth of the season — among the top marks in Major League Soccer.

The selection comes three days after Brady's six-save performance in the Fire's 3-1 comeback win at D.C. United, which earned him Team of the Matchday recognition for Matchday 13. Back-to-back road games. Back-to-back league-wide selections.

The timing matters. The USMNT will announce its 26-man World Cup roster on May 26, with head coach Mauricio Pochettino selecting from a goalkeeper pool that has included Brady in several camps this cycle. National outlets have consistently slotted the Naperville native and Chicago Fire Homegrown product into the projected three-keeper rotation for the home World Cup.

The Fire return home to host Toronto FC next Saturday, May 23. Pochettino's roster reveal follows three days later.

The case continues to make itself.

Congratulations, Chris. Onto the next one.

Mag Mile Clients Front and Center as FC Naples Beat Sporting Jax in USL Cup

Sunday evening at Paradise Coast Sports Complex delivered one of the more dramatic cup nights of the season — and Mag Mile Sport clients were at the heart of it on both sides of the fixture.

The Prinx Tires USL Cup Group 7 tie pitted FC Naples (USL League One) against USL Championship visitors Sporting Club Jacksonville. Naples came from behind to draw 1-1 in regulation and won the resulting penalty shootout 3-1, picking up the bonus point in group play.

The hosts fell behind in the 17th minute when Ahmad Al Qaq finished a clinical Sporting Jax counter. Naples gradually wrested back control of the match, and through the second half, Mag Mile midfielder Marc Torrellas went the full ninety in central midfield — composed on the ball and disciplined out of possession as Naples built waves of pressure on the visiting back line.

For Sporting Jacksonville, Antonio Gomez — the 6'2" centerback on loan from Austin FC II — entered off the bench in the second half and logged 33 minutes in his inaugural USL Championship campaign with the expansion side, continuing to add to a steadily growing body of professional minutes at this level.

The equalizer arrived in the closing stages. Kevin O'Connor sprung Andrés Ferrín down the right channel, and his centering ball found another Mag Mile client — left back Julian Cisneros — unmarked at the far post. Cisneros finished cleanly to make it 1-1. For a defender, it was a critical contribution at the most important moment.

In the shootout, Naples were clinical. Goalkeeper Joshua Grant's stop on Sporting Jax's decisive attempt sealed the win and the bonus point.

A proud night for the agency, with three clients featured across the fixture. Congratulations to Marc, Antonio, and Julian.

Tatiana Fung's Lexington SC Captures USL Super League Players' Shield

Lexington Sporting Club has clinched the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League Players' Shield, awarded to the team with the best regular-season record — the first major trophy in club history. Mag Mile Sport client Tatiana "Tati" Fung was part of the midfield group that delivered the milestone result.

Tati's individual contribution stands out given the circumstances. Despite missing significant time with an injury earlier in the season, she finished the regular season with 5 assists — sixth in the entire Gainbridge Super League, trailing only a small group of players at 7 and the league's new single-season assist record holder at 8. Putting up top-six creative numbers while losing weeks of availability is the kind of return-per-minute production that scouts and clubs notice.

The team with the best record in the regular season wins the USL Super League Players' Shield. After the regular season, the top four teams play a single-elimination playoff tournament, the winner of which is the league champion. With the Shield secured, Lexington enters the playoffs with home-field advantage and a real shot at completing the double.

The Players' Shield is one of the most respected regular-season honors in U.S. women's soccer. The Gainbridge Super League sits as a Division I league alongside the NWSL, and finishing first across a full regular season campaign reflects sustained excellence at the highest level of the domestic game.

Congratulations to Tati and the entire Lexington SC squad and staff. We're proud to represent her and look forward to the postseason run that begins later this month.

Carlos Herrera Records Clean Sheet in Detroit City FC's 1-0 Win Over Forward Madison

Mag Mile Sport client Carlos Herrera earned a clean sheet Saturday night as Detroit City FC defeated Forward Madison FC 1-0 at Breese Stevens Field in Prinx Tires USL Cup play. Haruki Yamazaki's 88th-minute strike delivered the road victory for Le Rouge.

Herrera held the line through 87 scoreless minutes, keeping the match level until the breakthrough came. A clean sheet away from home, in a cup competition, with the game still goalless deep into the second half — that's the kind of outing that wins matches and builds a goalkeeper's stock.

Congratulations to Carlos and the entire Detroit City FC squad on the result.

Chris Brady Anchors Road Shutout at CF Montreal

Mag Mile Sport client Chris Brady delivered a Man of the Match performance Saturday afternoon at Stade Saputo, posting a clean sheet as the Chicago Fire defeated CF Montreal 2-0 on the road.

The hosts dictated possession (56%) and generated 15 shots, including seven on target — sustained pressure that Brady answered all afternoon. Goals from Philip Zinckernagel and Hugo Cuypers gave Chicago a comfortable scoreline, but the shutout was the story. It is Brady's sixth clean sheet of the 2026 season.

The performance comes three days after Brady's six-save outing at D.C. United, which earned him a place on MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 13. Two consecutive road statement performances. Ten days from the USMNT's World Cup roster announcement on May 26.

Head coach Gregg Berhalter has built a defensive structure around the Naperville native and Chicago Fire Homegrown product, and Brady has rewarded the trust every match. The Fire return home to host Toronto FC next Saturday, May 23 — three days before Mauricio Pochettino publicly announces his 26-man squad for the home World Cup.

The case continues to build itself.

Congratulations, Chris. Onto the next one.

Chris Brady Stakes His World Cup Case with Six-Save Performance, Earns MLS Team of the Matchday

With the USMNT's 26-man World Cup roster set to be announced in less than two weeks, Mag Mile Sport client Chris Brady delivered the kind of performance that matters most when it matters most.

The Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper was named to MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 13 following Wednesday's 3-1 comeback win at D.C. United, where he posted six saves to keep the Fire in a match they would eventually take over in the second half. It was Brady's first career victory at Audi Field, his third Team of the Matchday selection of the 2026 season, and the ninth of his career.

The selection arrives at a pivotal moment. Head coach Mauricio Pochettino will announce the final USMNT roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on May 26, with the Americans opening their tournament June 12 at SoFi Stadium against Türkiye. Brady was one of just four goalkeepers brought into the March camp ahead of the Belgium and Portugal matches — the federation's final evaluation window before selection. National outlets including ESPN, Fox Sports, and CBS Sports have consistently slotted him into the projected three-keeper rotation behind Matt Freese and Matt Turner.

He has not yet earned a senior cap. But performances like Wednesday's — composure under pressure, six saves on the road, a result to show for it — are exactly the data points decision-makers weigh when finalizing a World Cup squad on home soil.

A Naperville native and Chicago Fire Homegrown product, Brady has been one of the steadiest figures in the Eastern Conference all season. The Fire have conceded the second-fewest goals in the East, and Brady's clean sheet count and save percentage have placed him squarely in the national conversation.

The next twelve days will tell the rest of the story. Wednesday's performance made the case stronger.

Congratulations, Chris. Onto the next one.

Chris Brady Named Chicago Fire FC Player of the Month for April

Mag Mile Sport client and Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper Chris Brady has been named the club's Player of the Month for April 2026, recognizing a stretch that has anchored one of the steadiest defensive starts in Major League Soccer.

April included Brady's third shutout of the season — a 1-0 victory over first-place Nashville SC at Soldier Field on April 4 — which also earned him an MLS Team of the Matchday selection for Matchday 6. Across the month, the Naperville native and Homegrown product was a central figure in a Fire side that has conceded among the fewest goals in the Eastern Conference and significantly improved its defensive numbers from a year ago.

Recognition like this is rare for a goalkeeper. Player of the Month awards typically gravitate toward attacking output and visible scorelines, which makes the club's choice this month notable — and accurate. Head coach Gregg Berhalter has publicly credited Brady's composure through a season of significant individual pressure, with the USMNT's World Cup roster announcement scheduled for May 26.

April was the work. The recognition followed.

Congratulations, Chris. Keep going.

BRADY RECORDS FIFTH CLEAN SHEET OF 2026 IN FIRE’S 5-0 WIN OVER SPORTING KC

Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper Chris Brady recorded his fifth clean sheet of the 2026 MLS season Saturday night at Soldier Field, earning a shutout in a 5-0 win over Sporting Kansas City. It was the 22nd clean sheet of his MLS career.

The performance came one week after Brady's 100th regular-season start. With Saturday's result, he leads all Eastern Conference goalkeepers in clean sheets — and every Fire shutout in 2026 has come with the Naperville native in net. It also marked his second consecutive clean sheet against Sporting KC, dating back to a four-save win at Soldier Field in June 2023.

Behind a defense that asked little of him on the night, Brady was not called on to make a save. The result moved Chicago to 5-2-2 (17 points) and pushed the Fire to a season-high five-match MLS unbeaten run.

Brady joined the Fire as a Homegrown Player in March 2020 — the 19th Homegrown signing in club history. He was named Chicago Fire FC Defender of the Year in 2023 and 2024, Top Drawer Soccer’s Top Overall Prospect in MLS in 2024, and was the only goalkeeper selected to the BODYARMOR 22 Under 22 between 2023 and 2025.

Mag Mile Sport congratulates Chris on the milestone and another commanding night for the Men in Red.

Chris Brady Reaches 100 MLS Starts in His Fourth Season with Chicago Fire FC

Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper Chris Brady made his 100th career MLS start on Saturday night, taking the field against FC Cincinnati in a match that ended 3-3 at Soldier Field.

The milestone marks a significant moment in the 22-year-old's career. Brady has been Chicago's undisputed starting goalkeeper since his debut season, establishing himself as one of the youngest starters in the league and earning two consecutive Chicago Fire Defensive Player of the Year awards along the way.

A U.S. Men's National Team Gold Cup participant, Brady continues to grow on one of the league's most scrutinized stages. One hundred starts before age 23 is a threshold most professionals never reach.

Mag Mile Sport is proud to represent Chris and looks forward to what comes next.

mag mile sport week in review | april 7-16, 2026

It was a full week across the American soccer pyramid for the Mag Mile Sport roster. Here's a look at what our clients accomplished over the past ten days.

Two Clean Sheets. One Collision Course.

The weekend of April 11 produced a result that doesn't happen often in agency representation: two of your clients keeping clean sheets on the same weekend, setting up a direct matchup between two of them four days later.

On Saturday night at Soldier Field, Chris Brady backstopped the Chicago Fire to a 1-0 victory over Atlanta United, turning away five attempts for his fourth clean sheet of the 2026 MLS season and 21st of his regular season career. Brady has now recorded back-to-back shutouts, and Chicago — historically one of the league's most porous defenses — now has four clean sheets through seven matches after managing just six in all of 2025.

In the USL Championship, Carlos Herrera kept pace. The Detroit City FC goalkeeper preserved a clean sheet in Le Rouge's 1-0 win over Sporting Club Jacksonville, continuing a strong run that has seen him anchor one of the division's sturdier back lines through the early portion of the season.

Four days later, on Tuesday night at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, the two were on opposite ends of the same match in the Round of 32 of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Chicago won 2-1 on a Jason Shokalook brace, with Herrera making one save before conceding both goals in the first half. Darren Smith pulled one back for Detroit in the 78th minute past Brady, but the Fire held on. The Fire advance to the Round of 16 to host St. Louis CITY SC on April 29; Detroit's cup run ends in the round of 32.

Two quality keepers. One match. Neither had an easy night.

Owen Pratt Keeps His Frame Clean in Huntsville

Further up the ladder, Owen Pratt — the 17-year-old goalkeeper for Chicago Fire FC II — delivered a composed 90-minute clean sheet in a 0-0 draw at Huntsville City FC on April 11. The result extended Chicago II's unbeaten streak to three matches. Pratt continues to show the consistency that drew attention from the Fire organization when he arrived last fall. Chicago II took the bonus point in the ensuing penalty shootout.

FC Naples Battles MLS Opposition in the Open Cup

On Wednesday night in Naples, Marc Torrellas and Julian Cisneros were on the pitch as FC Naples hosted Orlando City SC in the Round of 32 of the U.S. Open Cup at Paradise Coast Sports Complex in front of 4,782 fans. The young League One side — which entered the tournament as the top team in USL League One at 13 points through six matches — gave a solid account of themselves against MLS opposition before falling 1-0 on a 17th-minute strike from Tyrese Spicer.

Despite the result, the 2026 season continues to be a breakthrough campaign for this club. Torrellas, the Barcelona-born central midfielder who has become the engine of Naples' midfield, earned a spot on the USL League One Team of the Week for the third time this season — continuing a run of individual recognition that speaks to his growing consistency at the professional level. Cisneros has been a steady presence across the back line throughout the club's strong start and has been named to the TOTW in USL League One.

FC Naples returns to League One play with a first-place standing still in reach.

Will Perkins Delivers the Moment of the Week

Wednesday night's biggest storyline for Mag Mile Sport may have come out of Audi Field in Washington, D.C.

Will Perkins, a substitute for One Knoxville SC, entered the match in the 98th minute with his side facing elimination — trailing DC United 3-2 deep in extra time. In the 113th minute, he delivered a through ball behind D.C. United’s back line that found Denis Krioutchenkov, who finished for the 3-3 equalizer and forced penalties.

What followed was one of the bigger upsets in recent Open Cup history. One Knoxville — a USL League One side — outlasted four-time Open Cup champions DC United 6-5 on penalty kicks to advance to the Round of 16, where they'll face the Columbus Crew. It marks the first win over an MLS club in the club's history and keeps One Knoxville as the last third-division side standing in the 2026 tournament.

Perkins' assist was the moment that made it possible.

Chris Brady Named to MLS Team of the Matchday After Shutout in Chicago Fire's 1-0 Win Over Nashville SC

Chris Brady delivered a Man of the Match performance on Saturday as Chicago Fire FC defeated Nashville SC 1-0, earning his latest clean sheet and capping the night with selection to the MLS Team of the Matchday.

Brady was the difference between the teams on a night when Nashville pressed for an equalizer. His reading of the game, command of his area, and shot-stopping kept the clean sheet intact and secured all three points for the Fire at home.

The MLS Team of the Matchday recognition confirms what has been clear all season — Brady is one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the league. This is not an outlier performance. It is a pattern.

Mag Mile Sport congratulates Chris on a standout night and another well-deserved individual honor.

Carlos Herrera Records 3rd Clean Sheet in 4 Games for Detroit City FC

Carlos Herrera continued his strong start to the 2026 USL Championship season, earning his third clean sheet in four matches as Detroit City FC battled to a scoreless draw on the road against Rhode Island FC on April 4th.

The result extended Detroit City's unbeaten run and underscored Herrera's consistency between the posts. Three clean sheets in four games is an elite rate at any level of professional soccer — a reflection of the preparation, positioning, and focus that define his game.

Mag Mile Sport congratulates Carlos on another exceptional performance. We look forward to what the rest of the season brings.

CLEAN SHEET: Herrera Stands Tall as Le Rouge Secure 1-0 Victory Over Charleston

In a gritty, physical battle at Keyworth Stadium, Detroit City FC earned a massive three points on Saturday night, defeating Charleston Battery 1-0. While Darren Smith provided the heroics on the scoresheet, it was a commanding performance from goalkeeper Carlos Herrera that ensured the victory stayed in Detroit.

Herrera Anchors the Defense

Earning a hard-fought clean sheet, Carlos Herrera was the backbone of a Le Rouge defense that refused to break. Herrera's most crucial moment came in the 65th minute; with the match still deadlocked at 0-0, he produced a stunning save to deny Charleston's best scoring opportunity of the night.

The shutout marks a significant bounce-back for the defensive unit. "We were all disappointed with the way the game went last week," said defender Callum Montgomery after the match. "To come out against a good Charleston team, keep a clean sheet, and get three points — that's exactly what we needed."

The Breakthrough

The match remained a defensive stalemate for much of the evening, with Detroit seeing two goals disallowed for infractions. However, the persistence paid off in the 75th minute.

A skillful drive from Haruki Yamazaki ignited the attack, moving through Chisom Egbuchulam and Ates Diouf before finding Darren Smith in the box. Smith's clinical finish into the bottom right corner sent the Keyworth faithful into a frenzy and provided the only goal Herrera and the backline would need.

Hard-Fought Points

The match was not without its costs, as Detroit had to navigate injuries to Maxi Rodriguez and Preston Tabort Etaka. Despite the physical nature of the contest—which saw several yellow cards issued to Charleston—Head Coach Danny Dichio was delighted with the squad's resilience.

"I'm absolutely delighted because the boys put in such a huge amount of work today," Dichio said. "To come up against a team like Charleston... and get a result like that, was just a really good team win."

Up Next: Detroit City FC looks to carry this momentum forward as they continue their 2026 USL Championship campaign. Stay tuned to detcityfc.com for ticket information and match previews.

***Match Summary:

Result: Detroit City FC 1, Charleston Battery 0

Goal: Darren Smith (75')

Clean Sheet: Carlos Herrera

Naples Duo Earns USL League One Team of the Week Honors for Week 3

The accolades continue to pour in for FC Naples as the league enters the third week of the 2026 season. Today, USL League One announced that defender Julian Cisneros and midfielder Marc Torrellas have both been named to the Team of the Week following the club's hard-fought 1-0 road victory against the Richmond Kickers.

For both players, this marks their second Team of the Week selection in just the first three weeks of the season, highlighting their consistent impact on the pitch during the club's inaugural campaign.

Julian Cisneros – First XI

Cisneros was a force on both sides of the ball in Richmond, earning a spot in the Team of the Week's starting eleven. The 24-year-old defender provided the crucial assist on Kevin O'Connor's match-winning goal. Statistically, Cisneros was nearly flawless, completing 35 of 41 passes, winning 6 of 7 ground duels, and recording five recoveries and two clearances to help secure the clean sheet.

Marc Torrellas – Bench

Joining Cisneros in the weekly honors is Marc Torrellas, who earned a spot on the Team of the Week bench. Torrellas' composure in the midfield was vital in managing the tempo of the game and neutralizing Richmond's attack, further cementing his reputation as one of the league's most reliable playmakers in the early stages of this season.

A Remarkable Start

To be recognized among the league's best twice in the opening three matches is a rare feat that speaks volumes about the individual quality of these two players. Julian Cisneros and Marc Torrellas have set an incredibly high bar for themselves, proving that they are not just contributors, but elite competitors in USL League One. Their multiple selections are a testament to their work ethic, consistency, and the immediate impact they have made on the pitch this season.

Congratulations to Julian and Marc on their well-deserved recognition!

CLEAN SHEET FOR PRATT: Chicago Fire FC II Stays Unbeaten at Home

Behind a career milestone for goalkeeper Owen Pratt, Chicago Fire FC II battled to a 0-0 draw against Carolina Core FC at SeatGeek Stadium this past Sunday. The hard-fought stalemate was followed by a clinical 5-4 penalty shootout victory, ensuring the Fire claimed the extra point and remained undefeated on home turf this season.

Pratt Stands Tall

The story of the match was 17-year-old goalkeeper Owen Pratt, who earned his first career MLS NEXT Pro clean sheet. In a game defined by 38-degree temperatures and heavy winds, Pratt remained a steadying force for the Men in Red.

He was tested early in the 7th minute, producing a sprawling save to deny a powerful strike from Carolina's Mehdi Zerkane. Pratt's composure through a rain-slicked second half and a goal-mouth scramble in the 36th minute kept the visitors at bay and secured the shutout after 90 minutes of play.

Shootout Success

With the score tied at the end of regulation, the match proceeded to a shootout to determine the winner of the extra point. Despite the intense wind conditions, the Fire shooters were perfect from the spot.

By the Numbers

Saves: Owen Pratt (4)

Shots: Chicago (18) / Carolina (10)

Passing Accuracy: 86.2%

Result: 0-0 Draw (5-4 PK win)

What's Next?

Chicago Fire FC II will now head into a two-week break before traveling to face Huntsville City FC on the road. Kickoff at Wicks Family Field is set for 7 p.m. CT, and fans can stream the match live on OneFootball and MLSNEXTPro.com.
