Olivia Rush Signs with Sligo Rovers, Begins Professional Career in Ireland

Mag Mile Sport is proud to announce that client Olivia Rush has signed with Sligo Rovers of the Women's National League, the top flight of women's football in Ireland. The move marks the start of the central midfielder's professional career.

Rush arrives in Sligo after four seasons at Indiana University, where she was a fixture in the middle of the park and, as a senior, team captain. A Michigan native, she started 66 of her 71 career matches for the Hoosiers — a 93% start rate — and logged 4,963 minutes across four seasons of Big Ten soccer, capped by an NCAA Tournament appearance in her final year.

Known for her technical consistency and control of the game, Rush is a possession-based midfielder who dictates tempo, breaks lines with both feet, and pairs reliable build-up play with proactive defensive work — winning second balls, disrupting transitions, and setting the rhythm from deep. Before Indiana, she developed with the Michigan Hawks in the ECNL and played her high school soccer at Troy Athens.

Now she takes that game across the Atlantic. Sligo Rovers, known to supporters as "The Bit O'Red" and based at The Showgrounds, compete in Ireland's Women's National League, giving Rush her first professional environment and a foothold in the European game.

"Olivia has earned this at every step," said Mario Iveljic, founder of Mag Mile Sport. "She's exactly the kind of player a club should want. Technically sound, tactically intelligent, and a leader who makes the group around her better. Turning professional overseas is a real step up, and knowing how she works, it's only the beginning."

Everyone at Mag Mile Sport congratulates Olivia and looks forward to supporting her through this next chapter of her career.
