Carlos Herrera, goalkeeper for Detroit City FC, has won the 2026 USL Championship Golden Glove.
Carlos kept a clean sheet in 14 of his 27 regular-season appearances, the most in the league. He made 55 saves and conceded 17 goals. His 76.4 save percentage was second in the league, and his 0.65 goals against average is the fifth-lowest in a single USL Championship season. He also led the league in high claims per 90 minutes, a measure of how often he took crosses out of the air before they became chances.
Carlos is the second Detroit City FC player to win a Golden award since the club joined the league in 2022.
Carlos and Detroit City FC will host Hartford Athletic on Friday, October 30, 2026 in the first round of the USL Championship playoffs.
Mag Mile Sport congratulates Carlos and Detroit City FC for this outstanding achievement.
