Mag Mile Sport Client Maggy Henschler Signs with Fort Lauderdale United FC

We're proud to announce that our client, defender Maggy Henschler, has signed with Fort Lauderdale United FC ahead of the 2026 Gainbridge (USL) Super League season, pending league and federation approval.

Henschler joins South Florida as a physically dominant center back — the kind of defender who wins games in the moments that don't make the highlight reel: the tackle, the aerial duel, the read that kills an attack before it starts. "A tough, intelligent defender who competes at a high level and brings consistency to the back line," said Aly Hassan, General Manager of Fort Lauderdale United FC, on the signing.

A native of Janesville, Wisconsin, Henschler built her foundation close to home at Milwaukee, making 52 appearances with 51 starts across three seasons, scoring six goals, and helping lead the Panthers to three consecutive Horizon League regular-season and tournament titles — earning All-Freshman honors along the way. She then tested herself at the highest level of college soccer, transferring to Kentucky and starting all 35 matches she appeared in over two SEC seasons, captaining the Wildcats as a senior. She finished her collegiate career among the most experienced defenders in the country: 87 appearances, 86 starts, nine goals, three assists, and 7,355 minutes.

From there, Henschler took the harder road. After a preseason with the NWSL's Racing Louisville FC, she moved to Sweden to launch her professional career, appearing for KIF Örebro in 2024 and Piteå IF in 2025 before bringing her physicality, range, and leadership back to the United States.

Fort Lauderdale is adding a competitor to a rebuilt back line — and we couldn't be prouder to have represented Maggy in this move. Congratulations, Maggy. We're excited for what's ahead.
