— ABOUT MAG MILE SPORT

built in chicago. built for serious athletes.

The sports world today is noisy. Travel sports. Pay-to-play. Showcases. Tournaments. Social media. NIL. Agents. With all that noise, it can be hard for athletes and their families to make clear, informed decisions throughout a career. Mag Mile Sport was built to cut through that noise — with legal precision, genuine experience, and a long-term vision for every athlete we represent.

“Quiet work when it matters most.”

01

THE ATHLETE PERSPECTIVE

Division I soccer at Yale. Semi-professional competition. Illinois State Championships in baseball and soccer. A US Amateur Cup. Mario has competed at every level — and understands what it actually takes to perform when it matters.

02

THE LEGAL PERSPECTIVE

Licensed as an attorney in 2003. Named one of the Top Young Attorneys in Illinois multiple times. Partner at a respected Chicago law firm. Over two decades negotiating and litigating complex matters nationwide. When Mario reviews your contract, you have an attorney in your corner — not just an agent.

03

THE PARENT PERSPECTIVE

A father of two competitive athletes. Countless hours on sidelines and in stands. Mario understands the decisions families face — not from theory, but from living them alongside his own children in the same sports world his clients navigate.

04

THE INSIDER PERSPECTIVE

Our team includes professionals who have competed at the highest levels of professional soccer, coached at the international and MLS level, and worked inside professional clubs in scouting, player evaluation and club operations — in both the United States and Europe. That insider knowledge of how clubs actually evaluate, develop and sign players is an advantage most boutique agencies simply cannot offer their clients.

— OUR STORY

WHY WE STARTED

Mag Mile Sport was not built overnight. It was built deliberately — the way serious careers are built. Mario Iveljic spent over two decades building a legal career before returning to the sports world, because he wanted to come back with something real to offer athletes. Not just a license. Not just enthusiasm. Real experience. Real credentials. Real perspective.

The Mag Mile is the heart of Chicago. It represents ambition, preparation, and a standard of excellence that the city demands of everyone who operates here. That standard informs everything we do at Mag Mile Sport — how we evaluate players, how we negotiate contracts, and how we represent the athletes who trust us with their careers.

The Mag Mile Sport team includes people who have sat on the other side of the table — who have competed at the highest levels of professional soccer, coached internationally and in MLS, evaluated players for professional clubs, built rosters, and understood what clubs are actually looking for when they sign or pass on a player. That perspective, combined with legal precision and genuine playing experience, is what makes Mag Mile Sport genuinely different from most agencies operating at this level.

— WHO WE’RE BUILT FOR

THE RIGHT FIT

Mag Mile Sport is selective by design. We are not built for every athlete. We are built for athletes who are serious about their careers, willing to think the long game, and not distracted by the noise.

The athletes who thrive with us understand that visibility and exposure are not the same as development. That choosing the right team should be based on fit, not prestige. That career progression is shaped not just by talent, but by decisions.

If that describes you — we welcome the conversation.

“I WAITED AND BUILT MY LEGAL CAREER FIRST. AT THAT POINT, I DID NOT HAVE THE PERSONAL OR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE TO TRULY HELP ATHLETES THE WAY I WANTED TO.

— OUR TEAM

THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOUR CAREER

Mag Mile Sport is built on the belief that athletes deserve better than a junior associate and a standard contract review. Every client works directly with our principals — people who have competed, negotiated, and evaluated talent at the highest levels of the game. Players are never handed off to junior associate.

Mario Iveljic is the Founder and Managing Director of Mag Mile Sport, leading the firm's strategic direction across soccer representation, baseball representation, NIL and advisory services.

Long before he committed to soccer full-time, Mario was a high-level baseball player. His youth teams reached the Little League Regional finals as 12-and-under Illinois State Champions, and finished as State runners-up at the 15-and-under level. As a member of Thornwood High School's baseball program, he played for a team that finished third in the State of Illinois in 1994 — on a team that was ranked third in the country at one point. With college baseball interest beginning to develop, Mario faced a decision familiar to every serious multi-sport athlete: continuing both at the next level was not realistic. He chose soccer at Yale. That decision, and the experience of living through it as a teenager, informs how he counsels multi-sport families navigating the same crossroads today.

At Yale, Mario was a three-year starter for the varsity men's soccer program, competing against top Division I opposition and international competition including the U-20 sides of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. After graduating, he continued playing at the highest levels of amateur soccer in the United States for RWB Adria — one of the most decorated amateur clubs in U.S. history — winning multiple Illinois State Cups, U.S. Adult Soccer Association Midwest Regional Championships, and a U.S. Amateur Cup in 2011, while qualifying for and competing against professional opposition in the U.S. Open Cup.

That competitive background informs everything Mario does as an agent. He understands what it takes to perform under pressure, make difficult decisions under time constraints, and navigate environments where the margin for error is zero — not from theory or borrowed perspective, but from competing in those environments himself.

What sets Mario apart from virtually every other agent in his market is the combination of his playing experience with his legal credentials. Licensed as an attorney in 2003 and named one of the Top Young Attorneys in Illinois multiple times, he has spent more than two decades negotiating and litigating complex matters in courts and boardrooms nationwide. He has served as a partner at Swanson, Martin & Bell, one of Chicago's most respected litigation firms, as in-house litigation counsel for CNA, one of the largest commercial insurers in the United States, and is one of the founding partners of Mag Mile Law. Where most agents hand off contract review to outside counsel — or skip it entirely — Mario reads every clause, evaluates every risk, and negotiates every term himself. His clients don't just get representation. They get a licensed attorney in their corner at every stage of their career.

Mario is a licensed FIFA Football Agent, a Registered Football Agent with the English Football Association, a member of the Association of Lawyer FIFA Football Agents (ALFFA), and a registered intermediary with U.S. Soccer. He represents players across domestic and international markets in soccer and emerging professionals in baseball. His work is grounded in long-term career planning, disciplined contract negotiation, and the kind of honest, direct counsel that athletes and their families can trust when it matters most.

Quiet work when it matters most.

Matt Pearson brings a level of scouting expertise and player evaluation experience to Mag Mile Sport that is virtually unmatched at a boutique agency of this size.

Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Matt developed his eye for talent through years of working at multiple levels of professional and academy football across Europe and the United States. His background is not theoretical — it is built on thousands of hours of player evaluation, database management, and the kind of honest talent assessment that separates scouts who find players from scouts who find the right players.

In the United States, Matt held senior scouting and recruitment roles at Chicago Fire FC, including serving as Director of Scouting — one of the most demanding and high-profile evaluation roles in MLS. In that capacity he was responsible for building and maintaining comprehensive player databases, evaluating domestic and international talent for the MLS Draft, and contributing to one of the club's strongest competitive periods in recent memory. His work directly influenced which players were brought into the organization and how they were developed once there.

Matt later turned his focus to academy recruitment and development, identifying and integrating players from diverse backgrounds into elite developmental pathways. His work at the academy level has contributed to players earning professional contracts, representing national teams, and achieving championship-level success — results that reflect not just an ability to identify talent, but an ability to guide it.

At Mag Mile Sport, Matt applies that elite scouting background directly to player career strategy. Where most agencies rely on relationships and reputation to evaluate talent, Matt brings genuine analytical rigor — assessing players against professional standards, identifying development gaps, and positioning athletes toward opportunities that align with their actual ability and long-term potential rather than their current profile.

For players navigating the path from amateur to professional, having someone who has sat on the other side of that evaluation process — who knows what professional clubs are actually looking for — is an advantage that most boutique agencies simply cannot offer.

Brad Friedel is one of the most accomplished American soccer players of his generation — and one of the most respected figures in the game on both sides of the Atlantic.

Born in Lakewood, Ohio, Brad developed into one of the premier goalkeepers in the world during a career that spanned more than two decades at the highest levels of professional soccer. After a standout career at UCLA, he went on to represent clubs including Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League — making 310 consecutive Premier League appearances, a record that stood for over a decade and remains one of the most remarkable feats of consistency and durability in the history of the game.

Internationally, Brad earned 84 caps for the United States Men's National Team and represented his country at three FIFA World Cup tournaments — 1994, 2002, and 2006 — establishing himself as one of the greatest American goalkeepers of all time. He was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2018.

Following his playing career, Brad transitioned into coaching and player development. He served as Head Coach of the United States U-19 Men's National Team, working directly with the next generation of American talent at the international level. He subsequently became Head Coach of the New England Revolution in MLS, bringing the same discipline, professionalism, and tactical precision that defined his playing career to the development of professional players on the domestic stage.

As Sporting Consultant at Mag Mile Sport, Brad works directly with our players to help them navigate their professional careers — drawing on firsthand experience at every level of the game to provide insight and perspective that most agencies simply cannot offer. For a player trying to understand what it takes to compete and last at the professional level, there is no better resource than someone who did it for twenty years at the top.
