Three Mag Mile Sport Players Earn Team of the Week Honors
Mag Mile Sport is proud to recognize Chris Brady of Chicago Fire FC, and Marc Torrellas and Julian Cisneros of FC Naples, who all earned Team of the Week honors for their performances last week.
Chris Brady was named to the MLS Team of the Matchday after posting a four-save shutout in Chicago Fire FC's 0-0 road draw against the Columbus Crew on March 7. Chicago Fire FC's official announcement noted that Brady earned the honor following that four-save clean sheet, and MLS coverage highlighted that he preserved the result despite facing strong Columbus chances.
At FC Naples, both Marc Torrellas and Julian Cisneros were named to the USL League One Team of the Week following Naples' 2-0 win over Fort Wayne FC on March 7. Torrellas earned his place after recording one assist, completing 32 of 39 passes, adding five recoveries, and winning 3 of 5 aerial duels in the win. Cisneros was recognized for a strong defensive performance, finishing with six recoveries, one interception, winning 6 of 8 duels, and completing 22 of 32 passes as FC Naples kept a clean sheet.
To have three Mag Mile Sport players recognized in the same week is a great reflection of the level they are producing for their clubs. We are proud of Chris, Marc, and Julian, and we congratulate all three on well-deserved honors.
Chris Brady Secures Second Consecutive Clean Sheet In Draw With Columbus Crew
In a gritty tactical battle in Columbus, Ohio, Chris Brady once again proved why he is the bedrock of the Chicago Fire defense.
Recording a massive clean sheet on the road against the Columbus Crew, Brady's performance was defined by more than just his shot-stopping; it was a clinical display in modern goalkeeping and composure under pressure.
While the 0-0 draw highlights a resilient defensive shift from the entire squad, Brady was the primary architect of the Fire's stability. Facing a dynamic Crew lineup, he remained unflappable, commanding his area with authority and organizing a backline that refused to bend.
Beyond the gloves, Brady's contribution to the Fire's build-up play was nearly flawless. According to Opta, the 22-year-old showcased elite-level precision, acting as a relief valve for the defense and a pinpoint starter for the transition game:
Goal Kicks: 90.3% accuracy
Run of Play: 91.3% accuracy
Throws: 97.8% accuracy
In a match where every possession mattered, Brady's ability to find teammates accurately—even under the heavy Columbus press—allowed the Fire to alleviate pressure and maintain their shape throughout the 90 minutes.
This performance marks another significant milestone in Brady's development. By pairing his natural athleticism with high-level technical distribution, he continues to cement his status as one of the premier young talents in the league. As the Fire look to climb the Eastern Conference standings, having a "brick wall" who can also quarterback the offense from the back is a luxury that few teams can match.
Chris Brady Records Clean Sheet as Chicago Fire FC Defeat CF Montréal 3–0
Mag Mile Sport congratulates Chris Brady on a strong performance in Chicago Fire FC’s 3–0 home-opening win over CF Montréal on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Soldier Field.
Brady delivered the shutout with two saves and steady command of his penalty area as the Fire earned their first win of the 2026 MLS regular season. The performance was particularly noteworthy given Chicago played the final stretch down a man following a second-half red card, yet remained organized defensively and saw out the clean sheet.
