Chris Brady and Chicago Fire Defeat Orlando City in MLS Wildcard Round

In their first playoff match since 2017, the Chicago Fire opened up the 2025 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs last night with a 3-1 victory over Orlando City SC at SeatGeek Stadium. Forward Hugo Cuypers scored twice after Homegrown midfielder Brian Gutierrez scored the opening goal of the match.

Homegrown goalkeeper Chris Brady made 3 saves on the night to preserve the victory. He was denied a clean sheet when Tyrese Spicer blasted a shot from short distance into the top of the net in the 89th minute.

Chicago advances to take on the top seed, 2025 Supporters Shield winners Philadelphia Union in a best-of-three series beginning on Sunday, October 26.
