Mag Mile Sport Negotiates Deal For Brad Friedel To Become Consultant To Besiktas
Mag Mile Sport recently negotiated the deal for Brad Friedel to become a Consultant to the Board of Directors for legendary Turkish club Besiktas.
Brad, a legendary player with over 450 Premier League Appearances for clubs like Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Tottenham, also spent 18 months as a goalkeeper for Turkish club Galatasary. After his playing career ended, he obtained his UEFA Pro License, one of the highest coaching licenses available. He then spent time in the front office at Tottenham and later began coaching the USA U19 National Team. He was later appointed coach of the New England Revolution but left the club during the 2019 season.
Besiktas has had a storied history. They were founded in 1903 and have won 21 league titles. They are the only team to have won the Turkish Super Big undefeated (in 1991-92 season). Last season, the club finished in 6th place in the Turkish Super Lig, with 16 wins, 14 losses and 8 draws. However, they won the Turkish Cup. They are looking to improve on last year's performance, which will be impacted by new rules limiting the number of foreign players that Turkish clubs can have on their roster. Brad, with his vast experience on and off the pitch, and with all of his contacts across the globe, will play a pivotal role in forming next season's roster and in shaping the future direction of the club both on and off the pitch.
Mag Mile Sport congratulates Brad on being named as a Consultant to the Besiktas Board of Directors!
