Naples Duo Earns USL League One Team of the Week Honors for Week 3

The accolades continue to pour in for FC Naples as the league enters the third week of the 2026 season. Today, USL League One announced that defender Julian Cisneros and midfielder Marc Torrellas have both been named to the Team of the Week following the club’s hard-fought 1-0 road victory against the Richmond Kickers.

For both players, this marks their second Team of the Week selection in just the first three weeks of the season, highlighting their consistent impact on the pitch during the club's inaugural campaign.

Julian Cisneros – First XI

Cisneros was a force on both sides of the ball in Richmond, earning a spot in the Team of the Week’s starting eleven. The 24-year-old defender provided the crucial assist on Kevin O’Connor’s match-winning goal. Statistically, Cisneros was nearly flawless, completing 35 of 41 passes, winning 6 of 7 ground duels, and recording five recoveries and two clearances to help secure the clean sheet.

Marc Torrellas – Bench

Joining Cisneros in the weekly honors is Marc Torrellas, who earned a spot on the Team of the Week bench. Torrellas’ composure in the midfield was vital in managing the tempo of the game and neutralizing Richmond’s attack, further cementing his reputation as one of the league’s most reliable playmakers in the early stages of this season.

A Remarkable Start

To be recognized among the league's best twice in the opening three matches is a rare feat that speaks volumes about the individual quality of these two players. Julian Cisneros and Marc Torrellas have set an incredibly high bar for themselves, proving that they are not just contributors, but elite competitors in USL League One. Their multiple selections are a testament to their work ethic, consistency, and the immediate impact they have made on the pitch this season.

Congratulations to Julian and Marc on their well-deserved recognition!
