Eddie Munjoma Wins USL Championship Title With Phoenix Rising

 


Eddie Munjoma, a defender with Phoenix Rising FC, won the USL Championship title with their penalty shootout victory over the Charleston Battery last night.

In a thrilling match, Phoenix Rising tied the score at 1-1 with a 90th minute goal from John Stenberg before claiming the victory, 3-2, in the penalty shootout.

The win gave Phoenix its first USL Championship in club history. It won each of its playoff matches on the road this season, a first in USL Championship playoff history. 

On the season, Eddie appeared in 36 matches, starting 27 of them and playing 2,551 minutes. He also scored 2 goals.
