15-Year Old Gio Villa Signs Multi-Year Endorsement Contract With Nike

Mag Mile Sport's Juan “Gio” Villa, a 15-year-old soccer player from Oak Forest, Illinois, has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike. The agreement covers footwear, apparel, eyewear, accessories and sporting equipment. 

“I am very excited to join the Nike family,” said Gio, who is currently a member of the Real Salt Lake MLS Academy. “Having the opportunity to represent a global icon like Nike really means a lot to me, and I am humbled that they have chosen me to represent them as one of their athletes. It really is a dream come true.” 

Nike is the world’s leading designer, marketer and distributor of authentic athletic footwear, apparel, equipment and accessories for a wide variety of sports and fitness athletes. Nike sponsors many of the top soccer players in the world, including Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The deal comes in the middle of Gio’s first season with Real Salt Lake, where he has quickly made a name as one of the top U-15 players in the country. Although only 15 years old, Gio has made multiple appearances with Real Salt Lake’s U-17 squad and recently accompanied the team on training trip to England. He has also received several call-ups to the youth national teams for the USA and Mexico and is currently with the USA U-15 national team at the Pinatar Super Cup in Spain.
